Cressi Quantum Mask

Description The major innovation of the Quantum mask is that, in addition to improved downward visibility, it effectively addresses the fogging phenomenon through internal thermal regulation of the warm, humid air exhaled from the nose. This air is guided through a membrane system integrated into the mold around the eyes and nose. In this way, the airflow is diverted toward the silicone skirt rather than the lenses, preventing condensation from forming on the glass. External Cooling System (Heat Exchangers) The outer part of the skirt features two small heat exchangers that function like “radiators.”Their effect is to reduce the internal temperature of the mask, bringing it closer to the surrounding water temperature. As a result, water vapor is trapped before reaching the lenses, preventing moisture buildup and fogging. Advanced Design – Compact Body Despite the presence of internal membranes and external heat exchangers, the Quantum maintains a compact profile and represents the most advanced design currently available in underwater vision equipment. Important Notice for New Masks The mask lenses have not undergone chemical treatment. Therefore, as with all new masks, it is recommended to clean the lenses before first use with: Toothpaste, or Dishwashing liquid, or Cressi Antifog, to remove particles and volatile residues from the glass. In addition, before each dive, it is advisable to apply a small amount of saliva to the inner surface of the lenses, which acts as a natural anti-fog agent.
